We still need a true digital single market - services like Netflix and Apple's iTunes are still unavailable in Member States in Eastern Europe because of the licensing deals they have to make for every single country. European law is hurting the customers right now..

I agree, suppliers should not be able to offer different terms and conditions to people/organizations, based solely on their (EU) country of residence (unless legislation makes this impractical)

Suppliers should be able to offer any kind of different terms and conditions to people/organizations based on whatever they damnwell please. That's called free market.

@dutch libertarian: but currently they are often not able to offer these services across borders even if they want to. e.g. amazon can't sell me MP3 downloads in Belgium for rights reasons.

So what we need is less law not more. Basically it's something that amazon and the Belgium musical rights instutute/company/whatever have to negotiate!
