In Germany School Curricula are the *exclusive* competence of the federal states. The national level has no say in it, thus the European. But even a Federal State Prime Minister would never dare to politically intervene on partisan grounds into school curricula but rather leave that to some teacher commission. I find it quite offensive of an EU Commissioner to intervene into these matters at all. It reflects an antiliberal interventionism without any consideration of competence and subsidiarity.
