I totally agree. The problem is we are not using the Internet to its full potential for historic reasons. See goo.gl/oS7Gck for more detail. Unfortunately those charged with Government ICT strategy in the UK (GDS in the Cabinet Office) and the EU (Future Internet) have all their eggs in the wrong basket. They need to start thinking outside the box.
