Another charming example is people who create captions and subtitles in a non-profit manner, allowing persons with disabilities to access audio-visual content that has been locked away and getting shut down by the content owners. Technology has allowed for persons with disabilities to access cultural materials in greater numbers than every before, but legal uncertainty keeps those cultural materials inaccessible.
