[...] That is why – despite our overall seven year European budget being smaller – Horizon 2020, our budget for research, is 30% bigger than its predecessor and one of the very largest research programmes in the world. We could get 80 billion euros for this budget. I'm very proud of this. Commissioner Máire Geoghegan-Quinn has worked very hard with the Member States and I also discussed this issue with the Prime Ministers of all our Member States.
